Obeche is the lightest hardwood in general use with model makers and miniaturists, a perfect material for building dolls house furniture and many other model projects.

 

  • Size: 19 x 150 x 457mm
  • Soft wood with a low gross density.
  • Its fine and even texture makes it very easy to work.
  • Plantation grown.

 

The African trypolochiton scleroxylon (obeche tree) is a tight grained wood with a bright, straw yellow colour, it's extremely glossy and has a medium course texture with interlocked grain.
