Features
  • Extra fast and strong super glue, reaches the smallest corners and joints.

    APPLICATIONS

    Suitable for:

  • Ideal for small-area bonds (not suitable for large-area bonds). Glues many plastics such as rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride), ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, shock-resistant styrene), PS (polysterene), acrylic resin (Plexiglas), polycarbonate (Makrolon), phenolic resins (Bakelite), metals (e.g. steel, iron, light and heavy metals), porcelain, ceramics, rubber and wood.
  • Only partly suitable for glass (over a period of time the bond becomes brittle, causing it to weaken).
  • HANDLING

    Before use:

    Working conditions

Do not use at temperatures below +10 C. The glue responds best to an air humidity level of 50-70%.

    Personal safety

Cyanoacrylate adhesives harden extremely quickly in the presence of moisture (such as air humidity, moisture in the skin, perspiration, skin sebum, tears). Care must therefore be taken during use, particularly as regards children and contact with the skin and eyes. But even without treatment, cyanoacrylate adhesives dissolve naturally with time.

    Surface requirements

Materials to be glued should be clean, dry, free of dust and grease and well-fitting.

    Preliminary surface treatment
  • Any dust, oil, grease, wax or separating agent should therefore be thoroughly removed from the surfaces to be stuck together. The best way to achieve this is to rub the parts a number of times with appropriate solvents, such as acetone (if this is suitable for the material check first!).
  • For metals and metal alloys it is usually sufficient to roughen the surface using emery paper or by grinding or brushing.
  • During use:

    Handling of packaging
  • To pierce the membrane, turn the whole cap clockwise firmly onto the tube. Unscrew the cap to reveal applicator ready!
  • Do not press the tube while piercing.
  • Directions for use
  • Apply the glue directly from the tube, using the nozzle, as thinly as possible onto one side (too much glue slows down the curing process significantly!).Press parts together immediately. Depending on the applied amount of glue and the material the glue polymerizes within 60 seconds into a synthetic resin and connects both parts very strongly. When glueing at low humidity, curing time can be shortened by briefly breathing onto one of the parts to be assembled. The best glueing results are reached at room temperature. Basic reacting surfaces accelerate the hardening of the glue, sour reacting surfaces (e.g. wood, ceramics, porcelain, leather) slow it down.
  • After use, clean nozzle with a dry tissue and close the tube by replacing the cap.
  • Advice
  • If the skin becomes stuck, soak for as long as possible in warm soapy water and prise apart carefully without using force; moisturise the skin afterwards.
  • A further possibility is to rub the fingers in warm water and push a paperclip or piece of wire between them. After some time the fingers can be separated. The affected areas may also be treated immediately with acetone or nail polish remover. As organic solvents also remove grease, we recommend applying hand cream afterwards. Should any specks of adhesive remain, these can be rubbed away using a pumice stone. In the event of the product being sprayed into the eyes or mouth, the eyes or mouth must be kept open and rinsed with plenty of water. If necessary, seek medical advice.
  • Because of the particular fumes developed by cyanoacrylate adhesives, it is advisable to ventilate the premises well when using relatively large quantities.
  • Points of attention
  • Attention: Super Glue contains cyanoacrylate. Dangerous: Bonds skin and eyes in seconds. Keep out of the reach of children. May cause respiratory irritation. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Avoid breathing vapours. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
  • After use:

    Stains/residue

Wipe off excess glue immediately with a dry cloth. After curing, glue residue is very difficult to remove. Acetone will dissolve glue but very slowly (check for suitability).

    Storage conditions

Store in a dry, cool, frost-free place. Storage below +5 C (in refrigerator) ensures maximum shelf life.

Description

UHU Super Glue Ultra Fast Liquid

The Precision Fast-Curing Cyanoacrylate Adhesive for Miniature Assembly and Scale Model Engineering

UHU Super Glue Ultra Fast Liquid is a highly versatile, rapid curing cyanoacrylate adhesive engineered to deliver maximum strength bonds across tiny surface areas. Highly favoured in the professional model making, architectural prototyping, and fine crafting sectors, this extra fast liquid is designed to wick effortlessly into the smallest joints and tightest corners. It cures into a tough synthetic resin within seconds, providing a high fidelity bond for miniature assemblies where conventional, thicker adhesives cannot reach.

Why It Is Perfect for Modelling and Fabrication

  • Ultra Fast Curing Speed: The adhesive polymerises completely within 60 seconds under optimal conditions, allowing you to rapidly assemble small, delicate components without the need for extensive clamping.
  • Precision Liquid Flow: Its water thin liquid consistency easily flows via capillary action into narrow channels, pre assembled joints, and structural microscopic corners.
  • Excellent Material Versatility: It establishes high strength connections across a vast spectrum of workshop materials, including rigid PVC, ABS, polystyrene, acrylic resin, polycarbonate, light and heavy metals, porcelain, ceramics, rubber, and balsa wood.

Crucial Application Tips for Model Makers

  • Apply as Thinly as Possible: Always use this adhesive sparingly. Apply the smallest possible drop to one side of the joint. Counterintuitively, applying too much glue will significantly slow down the curing process and weaken the final bond integrity.
  • Environmental Humidity Control: This cyanoacrylate adhesive sets best at room temperature with an atmospheric humidity level between 50% and 70%. If your workshop environment is exceptionally dry, you can shorten the curing time by briefly breathing onto one of the parts to be assembled before pressing them together.
  • Acknowledge Chemical pH Reactions: Basic or alkaline reacting surfaces will accelerate the hardening of the glue. Conversely, acidic or sour reacting materials, such as raw wood, leather, and unglazed ceramics, will naturally slow down the chemical bonding process.
  • Thorough Surface Preparation: Ensure all mating surfaces are completely clean, dry, free from dust, and stripped of grease or manufacturing oils. For metal alloys, lightly roughening the joint with fine emery paper prior to application will drastically improve mechanical adhesion.

Adhesive Limitations

This specialist adhesive is designed exclusively for small area bonds and is not suitable for large area laminating. It should not be used on soft plastics such as polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). Furthermore, it is only partly suitable for glass applications, as the bond can become brittle over a period of time, causing the joint to naturally weaken.

Packaging Manipulation

To pierce the protective internal membrane safely without spilling, turn the entire cap clockwise firmly onto the tube. Unscrew the outer cap to reveal the precision applicator nozzle, taking care not to squeeze the metal tube while piercing.

First Aid and Skin Release Advice

Cyanoacrylate bonds skin and eyes in seconds. If fingers become accidentally stuck together, soak the area immediately in warm soapy water and gently prise them apart without using force, applying a rich hand cream afterwards. Alternatively, you can treat the affected area carefully with acetone or nail polish remover, checking first for skin sensitivity. In the event of the product entering the eyes or mouth, keep them wide open, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water, and seek immediate medical advice.
