• Scoring and Folding: To make a precise right angle fold, cut through only the first layer of kraft paper and the corrugated core, leaving the back outer liner completely intact. This creates a neat, crisp, living hinge fold.
• Understanding Flute Direction: The internal corrugated fluting runs in a specific direction. Cutting with the grain of the corrugation is much smoother, while cutting across the fluting grain requires more pressure and a perfectly fresh blade.
• Creating Smooth Curves: To make curves or cylindrical forms, use your thumbs to gently crush the inner fluting on one side of the board. This systematically softens the structure in one direction, allowing the board to bend smoothly while the outer face remains pristine.

• Exposing the Internal Corrugation: The corrugated centre can be exposed intentionally to create textured walls or industrial aesthetics. This is achieved by lightly sanding or carefully peeling away the top kraft liner layer.
