Known as the premier alloy for cold-forming operations, CuZn37 offers outstanding ductility alongside durable tensile strength. The 0.3mm thickness can easily be cut using heavy-duty craft scissors, a guillotine, or a jeweller's saw, formed into sharp angles without snapping, embossed with fine surface textures, and chemically etched for intricate lattice patterns. The smooth semi-reflective mill finish polishes up to a brilliant shine, takes soft solder and brazing effortlessly, and reacts beautifully to antiquing patinas like liver of sulphur for aged or historical prop work. On top of that, its high thermal and electrical conductivity makes it ideal for functional electronic housing and custom gasket prototypes.
