Description

These opaque white polystyrene sheets are precision-grooved to authentically replicate the vertical siding found on O-scale passenger railway cars. While specifically designed for large-scale railway modelling, their authentic 1.2mm groove spacing makes them highly versatile for architectural model makers, diorama builders, and scenic designers requiring realistic timber panelling for vintage structures, sheds, and industrial facades.

Manufactured from high-quality styrene, the sheets feature a 0.75mm thickness that provides an optimal balance of structural integrity and flexibility. This allows the material to be effortlessly applied as lightweight cladding or carefully curved around organic shapes and vehicle bodies. The siding can be cleanly scored and snapped to size, and it bonds securely using standard plastic solvent cements to create strong, seamless joins.

The neutral white, matt finish provides an excellent base for priming, allowing makers to apply paints, washes, and weathering effects to simulate painted wood or aged timber. To accommodate projects of any scale, these sheets are available in multiple generous formats, from standard detailing sizes up to expansive 300 by 600mm sheets that reduce the need for visible seams on larger model frameworks.
