Features
  • Precision Glazing Utility: A versatile, rigid transparent material specifically suited for architectural model making, providing a realistic representation of glass surfaces and window panes.
  • Effortless Workshop Fabrication: The material is exceptionally user-friendly, allowing for clean, precise cuts using standard scissors or a craft cutter, and can be seamlessly bonded with transparent plastic adhesives.
  • Unique Visual Depth: Unlike perfectly flat acrylic, PVC features a subtle, characteristic streaking that blurs deep views into a modelan effect often favoured by model makers to add a sense of realism to scale interiors.
  • High-Clarity Protective Options: While the thinner gauges are susceptible to surface marks, the 1.0mm thick variant includes a protective film to ensure the material remains pristine during transit and fabrication.
  • Multi-Functional Application: Beyond structural modelling, these sheets serve as professional-grade transparent covers for brochures, workbooks, and high-clarity presentation materials.

Description

PVC-hard transparent can be used as a transparent cover sheet for a brochure or workbook. It is also suitable for use in model making for glass surfaces. It is easy to cut with cutter and scissors and can be glued neatly with a transparent plastic adhesive.

PVC films are not suitable for permanent framing or covering of photos or pictures. The material attacks the covered object in case of prolonged contact. Better use acrylic glass, polycarbonate or mineral glass for this purpose. It is also important to note that PVC films do not have a completely flat surface, which creates a slightly streaky impression when viewing the surface, which is especially noticeable on large surfaces. In model making, this can be a positive effect, as it blurs the deep view into the model somewhat. Objects directly behind it, on the other hand, are clearly visible. Also note that PVC is quite susceptible to scratches and cannot be guaranteed to be scratch-free. Frequent contact with other objects leaves traces. Only the one-millimeter-thick material features a protective film.
