Description

Finnboard is widely regarded as the premier choice for professional architectural model making and high-precision prototyping. Composed of pure, naturally coloured ground wood pulp, it offers a warm, ivory-beige aesthetic and a slightly textured surface that brings a natural, organic character to structural studies.

Offering a superb strength-to-weight ratio, this lightweight board provides superior resistance to warping and sagging compared to standard cardboards. It is the industry standard for architectural massing models, topographic studies, and intricate internal details. Prop builders and scenic designers also favour it for lightweight set mock-ups, while its high density makes it equally suitable for premium packaging and industrial volumetric studies.

The material is exceptionally easy to process. It can be cleanly cut with a craft knife or laser cutter, and it supports creasing, grooving, and smooth sanding. It bonds reliably with PVA, universal glues, or spray adhesives, and readily accepts paints and distressing techniques. Please note: As a pure wood pulp product, Finnboard is not lightfast and will naturally darken or develop a patina when exposed to direct sunlight over time.
